Shane was the chairperson of the ad hoc Committee of the Law Society of Namibia to Investigate Membership Fee Increases in 2023 and is an initiator for the Disciplinary Committee of the Law Society of Namibia having successfully prosecuted a number of cases to date.

Areas of Practice
What we do
Shane Morwe holds a bachelor degree in law (LLB) and a masters degree in law (LLM cum laude) both of which were obtained from the University of the Western Cape. Shane Morwe has more than seven years of experience in private practice and has been a practicing attorney since 15 September 2017. Shane Morwe has predominantly practiced in the areas of litigations and has worked in the central, coastal and northern regions of Namibia. Across Namibia he has appeared in more than ten different courts in different regions of Namibia.
Shane Morwe has experience in criminal law, drafting and advising on contracts, liquor licenses, internal disciplinary hearings and labour law, family and divorce law, insurance law, motor vehicle accident law and general corporate and contract litigation. He takes a keen interest in drafting legal opinions, but Shane Morwe’s focus at Morwe and Associates Incorporated will be in the areas of investment, the laws of succession and administrative law. He holds a masters degree cum laude in international human rights laws, with his thesis focusing on language rights and is currently busy with an LLD.
