Shane Morwe holds a bachelor degree in law (LLB) and a masters degree in law (LLM cum laude) both of which were obtained from the University of the Western Cape. Shane Morwe has more than seven years of experience in private practice and has been a practicing attorney since 15 September 2017. Shane Morwe has predominantly practiced in the areas of litigations and has worked in the central, coastal and northern regions of Namibia. Across Namibia he has appeared in more than ten different courts in different regions of Namibia.

1. Providing Qualified Legal Help Since.

Shane Morwe has experience in criminal law, drafting and advising on contracts, liquor licenses, internal disciplinary hearings and labour law, family and divorce law, insurance law, motor vehicle accident law and general corporate and contract litigation. He takes a keen interest in drafting legal opinions, but Shane Morwe’s focus at Morwe and Associates Incorporated will be in the areas of investment, the laws of succession and administrative law. He holds a masters degree cum laude in international human rights laws, with his thesis focusing on language rights, but will embark on a journey to obtain a Phd which will commence in 2023 and his dissertation will focus on Judicial Review of Administrative Action in the Namibian context.

2. Qualities.

Shane is proactive and has served a number of organizations and professional bodies since he was a student at university. At university he repeatedly acquired the golden key honor awards for academic merit, was a peer facilitator in 2013 and the deputy chairperson of the Namibia Society of UWC, after which he became the chairperson. He has strong leadership qualities and is currently the managing director of a law firm with more than seven employees, which he established in 2023. Shane is currently the chairperson of the ad hoc Committee of the Law Society of Namibia to Investigate Membership Fee Increases and is an initiator for the Disciplinary Committee of the Law Society of Namibia.

3. What we are made of.

Shane Morwe has also established networks both nationally and internationally with corporate clients and currently advises various Municipal Councils around Namibia and investors from around the world. His ambition is to grow Morwe and Associates Incorporated as a purely Namibian brand and through it empower previously disadvantaged Namibians and women. The firm’s workforce boasts the following statistics: a rate of 80% female, 90% under 40 years of age, 100% previously disadvantaged Namibians and 0% resignation rate
